CONSTRUCTION
The two paintings in Construction respond to John Cage’s groundbreaking works of experimental music, Construction I and Construction II, that explore rhythm, noise, and unconventional soundscapes. Cage’s compositions challenge the boundaries of music, focusing on structured improvisation and randomness. Inspired by these principles, my paintings aim to translate the abstract, collective unconscious response to the audiological experience into visual form. The fragmented rhythms and chaotic textures capture the unspeakable sensations evoked by the sounds, allowing viewers to engage with the raw, unfiltered emotion of noise and rhythm, aligning with my artistic vision by creating a space for audiences to reflect on hidden truths and visceral connections beyond words.
